What Do You Do With Sentimental Baby Items That You Don’t Want To Get Rid Of, But You Don’t Want To Keep In A

box? I have a silver baby brush, a silver rattle, silver drinking cup, silver spoons and a comb. They don’t have any value and I don’t want to sell them. I’d like to display them, but since my kids are older I can’t display them in their room and it seems silly to display them anywhere else.

I think you could display them in a family room or den, in a cute setting. Find a small tray or cute box that you can stand on it’s side that will fit all of the objects.
Or photograph them, and scrapbook the photos on a cute page all together. Frame and display the page.

Give them to someone that has a baby , this way they can be enjoyed again.

Make a memories box. My mom did. It has all of our old things. Soccer team photos, first haircut things report cards (at least the good ones), first communion certificate. Anything. Its better then storage but its still in a box. I cant think of any good way to display those sort of things. Maybe there isn’t?

Save them in safe box for when your children have babies.
Im sure your children will appreciate having something from their past.

Do you have a nice china cabinet? I keep eveything collectible and fine there. You can show more than plates in display furniture. I have the cake topper from my wedding cake, my unity candle, and even the ring bearers pillow in mine. It would be perfectly appropriate to display precious silver baby items in any display cabinet

Make a shadow box display for them and hang it most anywhere in your home. It would look nice surrounded by a few of their sother special baby items, like a christening gown or the hats they wore home from the hospital. Just make one wall sot of like a memory wall of thier childhood. Would be very neat.

Keep them in a box until the children are out of the house then put them in something like a bookcase where you can see them.

Get yourself a large Shadow box. You can get them at a craft store. They are deep enough to place items like yours in and hang on the walls. They are then protected behind glass. I have my sons Christening Gown displayed in one with some of his other items. They come with shelves also. Everyone compliments me on mine.Try Michaels or A.C. Moore. Check out the website I left. You can have them custom made also

You could make a keepsake shadowbox with all your baby treasures. Consult a professional framer to see what they can make for you. They can usually make these displays stylish enough that you can put them in your home or office as a nice piece of decor and it won’t look silly. I made a shadowbox with some of my son’s baby things and used a backing that matched the color scheme in my bedroom. It looks really nice on the wall, not at all tacky.

put them on a shelf or something below photographs of your children.

I did stash all that stuff in a box. I gave it all to my son and daughter-in-law when they announced they were expecting.

KEEP EM FOR THEIR KIDS OR SELL THEM ON E-BAY BUT I SUGGEST THE FIRST.

what I would do is display these items in a display case with glass doors so friends and family could see. You could also put pictures of your children, when they were younger, in the display case.

My mom had a hope chest. You could get one or two and keep it in the kids room or somewhere else. A hope chest is a great place to keep these valuable items and it allows you to be able to show your kids the items and promise that one day they will get the hope chest and be able to add to it.

Hi there,
In the first place, Nothing is silly! You can decorate your home with those and it would add a beauty. Any person loving Art won’t laugh at it. Infact, you’ll feel better decorating so!

It’s not silly to display them anywhere else. My sister kept certain things of her kids, like first socks, and made some box frames. She framed the socks, brush, etc, along with locks of baby hair, pics of their favorite baby toys, and has them in a cabinet. When the kids are adults, they’ll all get their framed memory boxes to show their kids

Mount them in a shadow box and hang it somewhere in your house…

I don’t think it sounds silly to display those items, they mean so much to you so why do anything else. Put them where you can see them and enjoy. Don’t let what other people might think keep you from what you want to do.
